What Fort Washington Offers to Its Residents
Occupying a total area of 42.9 square kilometers, Fort Washington is one of the unincorporated areas of Prince Georges County in Maryland. Out of its total land area, 35.7 square kilometers can be utilized for the establishment of Fort Washington homes.
History has its claim that the community got its name from the fort which was completed in 1809. At that time, it was the only defensive fort that protected Washington DC. Thus, it is a very important landmark that contributed a lot to the history of Washington DC particularly during World War II and the War of 1812.
